Quick Bio: With more than a decade of experience in the meetings and events industry, Anil Punyapu is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of Cvent’s enterprise meetings solutions divisions as well as channel partnerships. Under Anil’s leadership, Cvent launched its enterprise solutions team in 2009, focusing on implementing its Strategic Meetings Management technology for organizations of all sizes, and the partnership team has grown to manage 24 of the top 25 meetings management companies and 50 of the top 100 travel management companies in the U.S.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? Getting to meet and form relationships with other SITE members who share the same passion I have for the inventive travel industry.

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? I’ve attended SITE Classic for the past four years and have already gained so much knowledge and insight from the organization and its members. I hope to continue that open exchange of knowledge, but as a senior member of Cvent, my goal is to contribute to SITE in any way possible.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? The meetings and events business as a whole is an amazing industry with passionate people that genuinely care about customers and experiences, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Incentives in particular are a core part of the meetings and events industry and a proven way to provide fantastic experiences to reward exceptional efforts.

Quick Bio: Born and raised in San Diego, graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Returned to Honolulu after several years in Japan and am bilingual. Joined the Royal Hawaiian sales team after working as a Meeting & Event Manager for the Starwood Waikiki complex.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? Being able to meet so many great colleagues and share my property with them.

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? Networking with the best in the industry.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? I wanted to grow our business and be on the leading end of our sales and catering team. While there is something very fulfilling about servicing groups, I really enjoy helping clients and their third party partners build their vision for their incentive programs and show them everything we can do in Hawaii.

Quick Bio: Born and raised in metro Detroit, I began my career in 1997 with Spirit Airlines for a tenure of 11 years, working in Pricing, Revenue Management and Marketing. I have been involved in the M.I.C.E. segment since 2009, where I previously handled sales for Royal Caribbean International in the Corporate Meetings and Incentives division, and also Four Seasons San Francisco as a Group Sales Manager on property. I have since joined the Corporate Gifts division with Maui Jim handling the West territory, and reside in San Francisco.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? Learning more about the diversity of each chapter.

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? I have been a SITE member since 2009 with my “previous lives,” and up until recent, have been part of the Southeast, and Northeast Chapters. I hope to formulate long and lasting relationships with colleagues, and make lifelong industry friends.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? There is no other industry as rewarding as ours, both figuratively and literally.

Quick Bio: A Dallas native, Kendall came out to attend San Diego State University. She graduated with a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Event Management. Kendall has been with AlliedPRA San Diego for 2 years.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? I’m excited to attend my first SITE event in March!

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? I hope to broaden my network and learn from other industry professionals.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? I absolutely love that I can share what San Diego has to offer with groups that come in. We get to work with clients on planning all of the “fun” parts of a program and making sure guests have an unforgettable experience!

Pat Pfohl, Director of Event Sales, USS Midway MuseumName: Pat Pfohl, Director of Event Sales

Organization: USS Midway Museum

Quick Bio: In 2004 she joined the USS Midway Museum as the only permanent Sales Director. Since then, she has reached many milestones and achievements. From 2004-2010, Pat was singularly responsible for branding, marketing, and building the museum’s special event business. Pat’s team has grown to include an Event Sales Manager and an Event Operations Manager to assist her daily sales activities.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? Meeting and networking with industry professionals that are members. The unique events and educational component are a plus as well.

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? As a result of my affiliation with SITE, I am hoping to increase my knowledge in the incentive travel market and to meet prospective clients that have never experienced an event on the Midway. Our events are truly something to experience first-hand.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? I have personally attended incentive travel past events. It gave me some insight since I am on other side of the business. The USS Midway Museum is the perfect venue for incentive travel events.


Debbie Lowery-Cunning, CMP, Event Sales Manager, USS Midway MuseumName: Debbie Lowery-Cunning, CMP, Event Sales Manager

Quick Bio: Debbie Lowery-Cunning, CMP is currently the Event Sales Manager at the USS Midway Museum. She works alongside Pat Pfohl, Director of Event Sales. Debbie came aboard the Midway in October 2014 and has 17 years of experience leading public relations, special events, communications and business development functions.

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? As a result of my affiliation with SITE, I am hoping to grow professionally and meet prospective clients that have never experienced an event on the Midway. Our events are truly something to experience first-hand.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? The variety of industry professionals that are members. The fun and unique events are a plus as well.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? As a sales professional, I have personally attended an incentive travel/”President’s Club” event. It was a great experience so I being on the other side of the business is an added bonus. I think the Midway is the perfect venue for such an event.

Quick Bio: I graduated from the SDSU Hospitality program in 2013. Since graduating, I have been an Event Manager on the USS Midway museum planning corporate/social/public events for up to 4,000 guests. I enjoy eating out, a good glass of wine, hiking and vegging on the couch watching movies.

What are you hoping to gain from being a SITE member? Meeting new people in the industry and learning more about the sales side of events.

What is your favorite part of being a new SITE member? Being part of the young professionals group.

Why did you decide to work in the incentive travel industry? Because I am very passionate about the hospitality industry.
