We are delighted to announce that the holiday event is going back to the desert! La Quinta Resort & Club is our partner hotel this year and we are looking forward to working with them to bring you another successful and exciting event.

Part of the excitement stems from the fact that the Holiday Event is going to look a little different this year. Call it HE 2.0! The biggest change is that our main event – the lunch – is going to morph into a dinner! A number of you have suggested that over the past few years, so we are going to make it happen!

It’s been a few years since we made any significant changes to our banner event, so here is a preview of what you can look forward to. Please note that this is a preliminary outline and the final version is subject to change.

La Quinta Resort & ClubAnother suggestion we have had from many of you was to slow down the pace and build in more downtime. We think you will agree that this agenda does just that. All your favorite events are still included and there will be more time to relax and spend informal time with your colleagues, clients and friends. There are many activities from which to choose as well as discounted spa treatments, so we think this is going to be a great balance of work and play.

So, what else is new?

Hosted tables will increase in price from $1,500 to $1,700 to cover the increased cost of providing dinner instead of lunch. The required two silent auction donations for table hosts (of up to value of $600 each) will remain the same.

One change from prior years will be in the way we handle our planner Match Me service. Planners looking to be matched will be able to join a MatchMe list, but will not be able to register until he or she has received a firm invitation from a table host. More details will be sent out about the new procedure to follow well in advance.

Complimentary rooms will be available for registered hosted planners for the nights of December 7th and 8th; a limited number of planner rooms are also available for Sunday, December 6th. All rooms are subject to availability, based on our room block. Supplier rooms are available at a cost of $199 per night plus a discounted resort fee of $10 per night and taxes. Special suite package pricing is available upon request.

Our popular Give Back Get Back, being managed this year by our fabulously accomplished Young Leaders group, will be going back to its roots where the emphasis is on giving back. This event has had more of a gift giving focus over the last few years and, again in listening to you, we will be offering expanded opportunities for hands-on activities. We are working on the MatchMe feature of this event as well, and will keep you advised as we get the details of this finalized.
