February is fast upon us and it's been a great start to the year. On January 28th we held a very successful Educational luncheon at the beautiful Montage Laguna Beach Resort & Spa where ROI was top of mind.

We were thrilled to present our three charities from our Site Holiday Event with cheques in the amount of $40,620.00 each, in addition to our yearly contribution to the Karen Henderson Memorial Fund.

A very special thank you as well to all those who gave at the January luncheon to our Haiti Relief Fund/American Red Cross. Once again the southern California Hospitality industry showed their true giving spirit, raising $3,372.00! Site SoCal started the donations with a $500 pledge and you, our luncheon guests donated an additional $872 with Mr. Todd Orlich, Resort Manager of The Montage Laguna Beach donating an additional $2000.00!  Thank you to everyone for your generosity!

Your hard working board met for our annual Board Retreat the last weekend in January and plans are now well underway for another great year. It was a successful retreat with new objectives installed for 2010. The ideas were flowing so be sure to check back to our site regularly for new happenings both on the website and with our events. A special thank you to The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows and Alison Best of The Santa Monica CVB for their sponsorship and support.

Due to scheduling conflicts in March we have moved our luncheon that was set for March 11th to March 18th - and are welcoming a new format - Breakfast with Site SoCal!  Our host is the Marriott Newport Beach and more information will be on the website shortly.
